The Cyber War is a realistic scenario. In reality, modern warfare is all cyber controlled. The Drones in Afghanistan are piloted via satellite from the U.S.
Our domestic nuclear Plants, electrical grid, banking, communications, essentially all, are controlled by computers and the global cyber world. Imagine if a massive cyber attack occured, what the repurcussions would be. Now the world and national view of the U.S. is being exposed for this country to be hypocritically criticized by those other countries which do worse, yet we don't read about it, nor exploit it, at the level this is being done. There is more at play here than meets the eye, and the cause and effect of this happening is very critical to present and future relations for this country. These "attacks" can and have opened a Pandora's box, that has not even been closed yet. The goal is clear, it is not an act of nobility, nor patriotism, nor heroics, it is plain and simply put, anarchy. The goal is also plain to see, destroy the United States image from within and throughout the international community. The message to other countries is also clear, what is placed in any computer system, no matter how well gaurded, can be accessed, and used as a destructive force. Finally, then comes the question of the right to be informed. The United States has its creed which slowly is morphing and eroding under the guise of protecting its society (which can be argued necessary to safeguard the nation), into the control of liberties and information. This is a dangerous path, which is the same path taken when FDR approved the interment camps for the Japanese Americans during WWII (mass hysteria). Can this happen again against other groups today? Who knows? Adolf Hitler was elected and given "special powers" to protect Germany from "The Anarchists and Communists", and we know how well that turned out. Without question all nations have their skeletons in their countries closet. More true is that the U.S. is loved, hated, envied, and admired throughout the world. Obvious is the evidence of dictatorships and civil rights violating political systems, which abound on this planet. These are extremely serious events that we are witnessing. Sadly though, for most Americans, the definition of a true crisis will be when they can't text, use tweeter, or check their emails, and facebook status. As I posted on Triff's comments on his facebook page, "Do not blame the water for the leak in the dam, blame the dam". Our current methods of allowing this countries intimate secrets be stolen is of extreme danger, and this is the obvious truth. Our administration has left the back door open, and the end result is still to be felt. Each political system and country has its own agenda, but, to have all see your dirty laundry will lead to results that we may not even imagine, even a cyber war, as we are currently witnessing. Yet for most Americans, as long as you can text and tweet, life is sweet... Until?

Are we supposed to believe that these "acts" are all caused by the "Wikihackers", or could they perhaps be from other political sources, with their own agendas?

LopezRamos dijo...
