David Foster Wallace, RIP

The news hit me this weekend (thanks to Ivan de la Nuez's late-night email). I didn't know how to react. I first read Wallace on some travel -or food magazine- article about the possible suffering of lobsters as they are boiled alive. I couldn't put it down. It was great literature: entertaining, deep, informed, caustic and very humorous. Later, I found the same article, along with other essays in this compilation. It's a gem. Another good one.
